Weather Conditions on 3rd March 2020

Observations:

The Maximum Temperature is between 33-35 C yesterday and is slightly above normal. Currently the Normal Maximum is 33 C for Rajkot, Ahmadabad and 34 C for Amreli. The Minimum Temperature today is slightly above normal at most places over Gujarat, Saurashtra & Kutch. The current normal Minimum Temperature over most Centers is 17/18 C.

Minimum Temperature on 3rd March 2020 & Maximum Temperature on 2nd March March 2020 was as under:

Rajkot 19.3 C & 34.4 C

Amreli 18.6 C & 35.2 C

Kandla(A) 21.0 C & 33.8 C

Bhuj 19.1 C & 34.2 C

Ahmedbad 18.0 C & 34.8 C

Forecast: Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch: 4th March to 11th March 2020

The winds will be from Westerly directions during the forecast period except for two days around 7th/8th March when the winds will be variable mainly Northerly direction. The winds speed will be 15-25 km/hour during 4th/5th/6th March and subsequently 10 to 15 Km/hour for the rest of the forecast period. When westerly winds blow the morning Humidity will increase especially during 4th-6th March and 10th/11th March. Possibility of Foggy conditions over many parts of Gujarat State on 4th/5th/6th & 10th/11th March. Due to upper air instability, there is a limited 40% possibility of stray showers over Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch around 5th March.

The Maximum Temperature expected to be gradually decrease during the next three days and will become below normal. The Maximum Temperature will again gradually increase by 9th March and will be again above normal on 9th March. 7th Morning is expected to be below normal & colder than rest of the Forecast period.
