Very Severe Cyclonic Storm “Biparjoy” Over Northeast And Adjoining East Central Arabian Sea: Cyclone Warning for Saurashtra & Kutch Coasts (Orange Message)

ઉત્તર પૂર્વ અને લાગુ મધ્ય પૂર્વ અરબી સમુદ્ર પર અતિ ગંભીર વાવાઝોડું “બિપોરજોય” : સૌરાષ્ટ્ર અને કચ્છ કિનારાઓ માટે સાયક્લોન વોર્નિંગ (ઓરેન્જ મેસેજ)

Sub.: Very Severe Cyclonic Storm “Biparjoy” over Northeast and adjoining East Central Arabian Sea: Cyclone Warning for Saurashtra & Kutch Coasts (Orange Message)

The Very Severe Cyclonic Storm “Biparjoy” (pronounced as “Biporjoy”) over Northeast and adjoining Eastcentral Arabian Sea moved nearly north-northwestwards with a speed of 12 kmph during past 6-hours and lay centered at 0830 hours IST of today, the 13th June, 2023 over the same region near latitude 20.9°N and longitude 66.9°E, about 280 km southwest of Devbhumi Dwarka, 300 km west-southwest of Porbandar, 310 km southwest of Jakhau Port, 330 km southwest of Naliya and 450 km south of Karachi (Pakistan).
It is very likely to move nearly northwards till 13th midnight, then move north northeastwards and cross Saurashtra & Kutch and adjoining Pakistan coasts between Mandvi (Gujarat) and Karachi (Pakistan) near Jakhau Port (Gujarat) around evening of 15th June as a very severe cyclonic storm with maximum sustained wind speed of 125-135 kmph gusting to 150 kmph.

Forecast For Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat 13th to 17th June 2023

Kutch, Coastal Saurashtra & West Saurashtra (Areas vicinity of Cyclone Track) : Medium, Heavy to Very Heavy rain with high winds during the forecast period with possibility of some centers crossing 200 mm.
Rest of the areas of Saurashtra: Light to Medium rain and isolated heavy rain during the forecast period with windy conditions on some days.

Gujarat Region: Light to Medium rain and isolated heavy rain during the forecast period. North Gujarat can expect higher quantum and coverage of rain.

Note: Rain is due to VSCS “Biparjoy”. Southwest Monsoon has not yet set in and will take time for it to set in over Gujarat State.

કોસ્ટલ અને પશ્ચિમ સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, કચ્છ ના વિસ્તારો ( વાવાઝોડા ના ટ્રેક નજીક ) : મધ્યમ, ભારે થી અતિ ભારે વરસાદ પવન સાથે જેમાં વધુ વરસાદ વાળા સેન્ટરો 200 mm થી વધુ ની શક્યતા.
સૌરાષ્ટ્ર ના બાકી ભાગો: ઘણા વિસ્તાર માં હળવો મધ્યમ વરસાદ અને છૂટો છવાયો ભારે વરસાદ ની શક્યતા છે.

ગુજરાત રિજિયન : ઘણા વિસ્તાર માં હળવો મધ્યમ વરસાદ અને છૂટો છવાયો ભારે વરસાદ ની શક્યતા છે. આ રિજિયન માં ઉત્તર ગુજરાત માં વરસાદ ની માત્રા વધુ રહે.

નોંધ: આ વરસાદ વાવાઝોડું ‘બીપારજોય’ હિસાબે છે. દક્ષિણ પશ્ચિમ ચોમાસુ નથી બેઠું અને હજુ ગુજરાત માં બેસવા માટે વાર લાગશે.
