Current Weather Conditions on 18th June 2015
There has been above normal rainfall activity over many parts of Saurashtra & Gujarat. Kutch has got showers in few places but limited amounts. Some more areas have been covered on 16th June and 17th June especially centers to the South & West of Rajkot/Gondal like Junagadh, Dhoraji, Upleta, Paneli, Jamjodhpur, Porbandar, Jamnagar and some more places in Junagadh District.
There is an Off-shore monsoon trough that extends from South Gujarat to North Kerala coast.
The Low Pressure area over the North West Bay Of Bengal persists and could strengthen to a Well Marked Low Pressure soon. Associated Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation now extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level.
An East West trough at mean sea level runs from Northwest Rajasthan to North Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and the Center of Low Pressure over the Bay of Bengal & extends up to 0.9 km above mean sea level.
An Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation that developed yesterday over the Arabian Sea Southwest of Saurashtra coast and extends from 1.5 km to 3.1 km above mean sea level. UAC is at 850 hPa and 700 hPa.
આજે દક્ષીણ પશ્ચિમ ચોમાસું ક્યાંય નથી ચાલ્યું. એનો મતલબ એમ છે કે ગઈ કાલે દેશ ના ખાસ નવા વિસ્તાર માં વરસાદ ના હતો એમ સમજવું. એક બે દિવસ માં ઓડીશા, છતીશગઢ, આન્ધ્ર પશ્ચિમ બંગાળ ના વધુ વિસ્તારો માં ચોમાસું છવાશે.
સૌરાષ્ટ્ર ના વિસ્તારો માં છૂટો છવાયો સારો વરસાદ થયેલ છે… ચોમાસું ડિક્લેર થાય કે ના થાય.

Global Tropics Hazards & Benefits Outlook – CPC, NOAA
The GTH outlook indicates that the last two weeks of June 2015 will be beneficial for Gujarat as well as whole India, except the Southern most peninsular India.
આપેલ નકશા માં બે અઠવાડિયા ની આગાહી છે – જુન 30 સુધી જે મૂજબ વરસાદ માટે સમગ્ર ગુજરાત અને ભારત માટે સારા છે.
સૌરાષ્ટ્ર ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ માટે ની આગાહી ગઈ કાલે આપેલ તે મૂજબ સમજવું.

Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch
Scattered rainfall will continue over most parts of Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch during the forecast period with increase in coverage of rainfall on each day. Most Centers that have not received rainfall can also expect their share of rainfall during the forecast period.
After 20th June further rainfall quantum will be dependent on the out come of the Bay of Bengal Low Pressure and the UAC of Arabian Sea, since the Arabian UAC is expected to remain in the vicinity of Saurashtra till the end of forecast period. Final outcome of the two Systems will determine the amounts of rainfall to most parts of Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat.
