Possibility Of Unseasonal Scattered Rain Over Saurashtra & Gujarat 10th-12th December 2020

Current Conditions on 8th December 2020
The Western disturbance now seen as a trough in mid & upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level roughly along Long. 60°E to the north of Lat. 25°N.
The cyclonic circulation over Southeast Arabian Sea & adjoining Maldives area now lies over Southeast Arabian Sea & adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean extending up to 3.1 km above mean sea level.
Another fresh Western disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from the 11th December, 2020.
Saurashtra Gujarat & Kutch :
The Maximum as well as the Minimum Temperature over Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch has been above normal for 1st to 8th December. The Maximum Temperature has been above normal by 2 to 5 C above normal for most centers and the Minimum Temperature has been above normal by 1 to 4 C above normal.

Ahmedabad Maximum 33.4 C (normal 30 C) and Minimum 17.1 C (normal 14 C)
Rajkot Maximum 35.0 C (normal 30 C) and Minimum 17.0 C (normal 15 C)
Amreli Maximum 34.0 C (normal 32 C) and Minimum 15.0 C (normal 13 C)
Deesa Maximum 34.5 C (normal 30 C) and Minimum 15.6 C (normal 12 C)
Bhuj Maximum 34.4 C (normal 30 C) and Minimum 18.0 C (normal 12 C)
Vadodara Maximum 34.6 C (normal 32 C) and Minimum 16.2 C (normal 14 C)
Surat Maximum 34.2 C (normal 33 C) and Minimum 19.0 C (normal 17 C)
Keshod Maximum 32.8 C (normal 30 C) and Minimum 14.6 C (normal 13 C)
North India:
Due to Consecutive Western Disturbances, there will be two rounds of Rainfall over North India and Snowfall over hilly regions of North India during 8th to 13th December.
Saurashtra Gujarat & Kutch : Forecast For 8th to 15th December 2020
The Maximum as well the Minimum Temperature is expected to remain above normal for few more days. The Maximum will start declining from 10th December and will reach near normal around 12th December. The Minimum will come to near normal from 13th December.
Mid level humidity is expected to increase between 10th to 13th December over Saurashtra & Gujarat due to moisture incursion from the Arabian Sea and hence there is a possibility of unseasonal scattered rain over Gujarat and Coastal Saurashtra Districts on 10th-12th December.
The UAC over Southeast Arabian Sea is expected to persist and could strengthen further.
