Advance of Southwest Monsoon:
❖ The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Central Arabian Sea, some more parts of Maharashtra, remaining parts of Karnataka, Telangana and Chhattisgarh, some parts of East Madhya Pradesh, some more parts of Uttar Pradesh, most parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, some parts of Haryana and Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, today, the 24th June.
❖ The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) now passes through Lat. 17.5°N/ Long. 55°E, Lat. 18.0°N/ Long. 60°E, Lat. 18°N/ Long. 65°E, Lat. 18.5°N/ Long. 71°E, Alibag, Solapur, Udgir, Nagpur, Mandla, Sonbhadra, Buxar, Lat. 26°N/ Long. 83.7°E, Siddharthnagar, Pantnagar, Bijnor, Yamunanagar, Una and Dras.
❖ Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon over most parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, remaining parts of Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, some more parts of Haryana including Chandigarh & Delhi, some parts of Gujarat, East Rajasthan and Punjab, during next 2 days.

Pre-Monsoon Rainfall Activity Expected Over Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch Next Few Days – Monsoon Expected To Progress By 30th June

સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ માં આવતા થોડા દિવસ પ્રિમોન્સૂન એક્ટિવિટી ની શક્યતા – જૂન આખર સુધીમાં ચોમાસુ આગળ ધપશે

Current Weather Conditions on 23rd June 2023

On the Western side of India along the Arabian Sea, the Southwest monsoon has yet to set in over rest of Konkan, Gujarat, Saurashtra & Kutch. Normally the Southwest Monsoon sets in Over Coastal Saurashtra & South Gujarat few days after it sets in over Mumbai. Monsoon is expected to set in over Mumbai in 24/48 hours.

The over all weather conditions over Gujarat Region is already conducive pre-monsoon activity and similar conditions expected over Saurashtra & Kutch from today.

INDIA METEOROLOGICAL DEPARTMENT: (from press release dated 23-06-2023)
❖ The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Karnataka, Telangana, remaining parts of Andhra Pradesh, some parts of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, remaining parts of Northwest Bay of Bengal, remaining parts of Odisha & Gangetic West Bengal, some more parts of Jharkhand & Bihar and some parts of East Uttar Pradesh today, the 23rd June.
❖ The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) now passes through Lat. 16.5°N/ Long. 55°E, Lat. 17.0°N/ Long.
60°E, Lat. 17°N/ Long. 65°E, Lat. 17°N/ Long. 70°E, Ratnagiri, Bijapur, Nizamabad, Durg, Daltonganj, Buxar, Siddharthnagar and Lat. 28°N/ Long. 82.5°E.
❖ Conditions are favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon over some more parts of Chhattisgarh, remaining parts of Jharkhand & Bihar, some parts of East Madhya Pradesh, some more parts of Uttar Pradesh and some parts of Uttarakhand during next 2 days.
❖ Conditions are also becoming favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon over some more parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka & Telangana during next 3-4 days.

Forecast for Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch : 23rd June to 27th June 2023

Pre-monsoon activity by way of scattered rainfall/showers is expected during the forecast period. Gujarat Region expected to get more quantum and coverage compared to Saurashtra & Kutch.

Advance Indication: Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch for 28th June to 4th July 2023

Monsoon will progress over many parts of Gujarat Region as well as Saurashtra & Kutch Regions. Good round of rainfall expected during the advance indication period.

હાલ ની પરિસ્થિતિ

અરબી સમુદ્ર બાજુ પશ્ચિમ ઇન્ડિયા માં હજુ કોંકણ ના બાકી ના ભાગો, ગુજરાત, સૌરાષ્ટ્ર અને કચ્છ માં દક્ષિણ પશ્ચિમ ચોમાસુ બેઠું નથી. સામાન્ય રીતે મુંબઈ માં ચોમાસુ બેસે ત્યાર પછી થોડા દિવસ માં દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત અને કોસ્ટલ સૌરાષ્ટ્ર માં ચોમાસુ બેસતુ હોય છે. મુંબઈ માં ચોમાસુ બેક દિવસ માં બેસે તેવી સંભાવના છે.

હાલ નું વાતાવરણ ગુજરાત રિજિયન માં પ્રિ-મોન્સૂન એક્ટિવિટી માટે યોગ્ય થઇ ગયેલ છે અને તેવી રીતે સૌરાષ્ટ્ર અને કચ્છ માટે પણ માં પણ આજ થી યોગ્ય રહેશે.

આગાહી સમય માં પ્રિ-મોન્સૂન એક્ટિવિટી રૂપી છુટા છવાયા વરસાદ/ઝાપટા. ગુજરાત રિજિયન માં વરસાદ ની માત્રા અને વિસ્તાર સૌરાષ્ટ્ર અને કચ્છ કરતા વધુ રહેશે.

આ સમય માં ચોમાસુ ગુજરાત રિજિયન તેમજ સૌરાષ્ટ્ર કચ્છ રિજિયન ના ઘણા ભાગો માં બેસી જશે તેમજ સારા વરસાદ ના રાઉન્ડ ની પણ શક્યતા છે.
