Short & Sweet – Scattered Rainfall Activity To Continue Over Gujarat Region & Coastal Saurashtra Till 17th July 2023

Current Conditions on 15th July 2023

The western end of the monsoon trough has shifted southwards and lies near its normal position and eastern end continues to run near its normal position. The Monsoon Trough passes through Ganganagar, Hisar, Aligarh, Orai, Sidhi, Daltonganj, Digha and thence southeastwards to eastcentral Bay of Bengal.

A cyclonic circulation lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal & adjoining north Odisha-Gangetic West Bengal coasts and extends up to mid tropospheric levels. It is likely to move West Northwestwards across north Odisha & adjoining Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand during next 2-3 days.

Another circulation is likely to form over Northwest Bay of Bengal around 18th July, 2023.

A Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation in middle & upper tropospheric level lies over north Pakistan & adjoining Punjab.

A cyclonic circulation lies over south Gujarat in middle tropospheric levels.

ચોમાસું ધરી હવે ગંગાનગર, હિસાર, અલીગઢ, ઓરાઈ, સીધી, ડાલ્ટનગંજ, દિઘા અને ત્યાંથી દક્ષિણપૂર્વ તરફ મધ્યપૂર્વ બંગાળની ખાડી સુધી સરેરાશ સમુદ્ર સપાટીથી 0.9 કિમી સુધી વિસ્તરે છે

એક વેસ્ટર્ન ડીસ્ટર્બન્સ ઉત્તર પાકિસ્તાન અને લાગુ પંજાબ પર UAC તરીકે છે અને તે સરેરાશ સમુદ્ર સપાટીથી 3.1 કિમી અને 7.6 કિમીની વચ્ચે છે.

એક UAC દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત રીઝીયન અને તેના આસપાસના વિસ્તાર પર છે અને તે હવે સરેરાશ સમુદ્ર સપાટીથી 5.8 કિમી પર છે.

એક UAC ઉત્તરપશ્ચિમ બંગાળની ખાડી અને લાગુ ઉત્તર ઓડિશા-ગંગાના મેદાની ભાગો પશ્ચિમ બંગાળના દરિયાકાંઠે આવેલું છે અને તે સરેરાશ સમુદ્ર સપાટીથી 5.8 કિમી સુધી વિસ્તરે છે જે વધતી ઉંચાઈ એ દક્ષિણ તરફ ઝુકાવ ધરાવે છે.તે આગામી 2-3 દિવસ દરમિયાન ઉત્તર ઓડિશા અને લાગુ ગંગાના મેદાની ભાગો પશ્ચિમ બંગાળ અને ઝારખંડમાં પશ્ચિમ ઉત્તરપશ્ચિમ તરફ આગળ વધે તેવી શક્યતા છે.

18મી જુલાઈ, 2023 ની આસપાસ ઉત્તર પશ્ચિમ બંગાળની ખાડી ઉપર વધુ એક ફ્રેશ UAC રચાય તેવી શક્યતા છે.

Isolated/Scattered showers/rain expected to continue over some parts of Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat till 17th July 2023, mainly Gujarat Region and Coastal Saurashtra.
