Reduced Monsoon Activity Expected To Continue Over Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat 2nd To 10th August 2023 – Update Dated 2nd August 2023

Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch: Current Rainfall Status as of 1st August 2023
There is a 131% excess rain for Saurashtra & Kutch Region and if Kutch is considered separately, Kutch excess of 206% from normal, while Gujarat Region has a excess rainfall of 29% than normal. Whole Gujarat State has a 72% excess Rainfall than normal.
All India has a surplus of 4% yet States that are now deficient in Rainfall are: Kerala, Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal along with also a shortfall of Rain from Northeastern States of Manipur, Mizoram &Tripura.
1st August 2023 સુધીની વરસાદ ની સ્થિતિ:
સૌરાષ્ટ્ર કચ્છ વિસ્તાર માં 131% વરસાદ નો વધારો છે અને જો એકલા કચ્છ માટે જોઈએ તો નોર્મલ થી 206% વરસાદ નો વધારો છે જયારે ગુજરાત વિસ્તાર માં નોર્મલ જે હોવો જોઈએ તેનાથી 29% વધુ વરસાદ છે. ઓલ ઇન્ડિયા માં 4% નો વધારો છે તેમ છતાં જે રાજ્યો માં વરસાદ ની ઘટ છે તે આ પ્રમાણે છે: કેરળ, ઝારખંડ , બિહાર પશ્ચિમ અને બંગાળ તેમજ નોર્થ ઇસ્ટ બાજુ મિઝોરમ, મણિપુર અને ત્રિપુરા.
Current Conditions:
The Deep Depression over coastal Bangladesh and neighborhood moved West Northwestwards with a speed of 31 kmph during past 6 hours and lay centered at 0530 hours IST of 02nd August, 2023 over Gangetic West Bengal near latitude 23.1°N and longitude 87.2°E, close to Bankura (West Bengal), about 130 km west-northwest of Kolkata (West Bengal) and 190 km East Southeast of Ranchi. It is likely to move west-northwestwards across Jharkhand and weaken gradually into a Depression during next 12 hours and into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area during subsequent 24 hours.
Forecast For Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch 2nd To 10th August 2023
Various factors that would affect Gujarat State favorably or otherwise:
1. Western arm of Axis of Monsoon expected to remain North of Normal position and will be closer to the Foot Hills of Himalayas for many days of the forecast period.
2. 700 hPa UAC associated with the Current System over W.B. will form broad circulation extending up to Rajasthan. However, the moisture at 3.1 km is less over Gujarat State.
3. Very windy conditions over Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch to continue during the forecast period.
The current situation is similar to last week for Rainfall over most parts of Gujarat State. Overall South Gujarat expected to get more rain compared to rest of the Gujarat State. Limited areas of Coastal Saurashtra expected to get better rain quantum compared to rest of Saurashtra.
Saurashtra & Kutch Region:
Moisture laden high winds up to 1.5 km level from Arabian Sea expected to pass over Gujarat State. Scattered showers/light rain isolated medium rain mostly limited areas of Coastal Saurashtra on a few days with off and on cloudy/sunny mixed weather.
Gujarat Region (North Gujarat, East Central Gujarat & South Gujarat):
Moisture laden high winds up to 1.5 km level from Arabian Sea expected to pass over Gujarat State. Scattered showers or light/medium rain on a few days with off and on cloudy/sunny mixed weather. South Gujarat and nearby areas expected to get light/medium/heavy rain on many days with isolated very heavy rain on few days during the forecast period.
આગાહી સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ તારીખ 2 થી 10 ઓગસ્ટ 2023
આગાહી સમય માટે ના ફાયદો કે નુકશાન કરતા વિવિધ પરિબળો:
1. ચોમાસુ ધરી નો પશ્ચિમ છેડો નોર્મલ થી ઉત્તર તરફ જ રહેશે. ઘણો ટાઈમ હિમાલયા ની તળેટી બાજુ સરકશે.
2. હાલ નું પશ્ચિમ બંગાળ પર નું ડીપ ડિપ્રેસન ક્રમશ આગળ વધશે અને બેક દિવસ માં WMLP માં ફેરવાશે. આવતા દિવસો માં તેના આનુસંગિક 3.1 km. યુએસી નું એક બહોળું સર્ક્યુલેશન રાજસ્થાન સુધી લંબાશે.
3. 3.1 કિમિ લેવલ માં ગુજરાત પર ભેજ ની કમી રહેશે.
4. સૌરાષ્ટ્ર ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ પર અરબી સમુદ્ર ના ફૂલ સ્પીડ પવનો ફૂંકાશે. દિવસ ના અમુક ટાઈમ 25 થી 35 કિમિ ની સ્પીડ રહેશે.
સૌરાષ્ટ્ર અને કચ્છ:
અરબી સમુદ્ર ના ભેજ યુક્ત પવનો 1.5 કિમિ અને નીચે ના લેવલ માં ફૂલ સ્પીડ થી ફૂંકાશે જેથી છુટા છવાયા ઝાપટા/ હળવો વરસાદ અને ક્યાંક ક્યાંક મધ્યમ વરસાદ ની શક્યતા છે. કોસ્ટલ સૌરાષ્ટ્ર ના અમુક ભાગો માં બાકી ના સૌરાષ્ટ્ર કરતા વધુ માત્રા રહેશે. આગાહી સમય માં ધૂપ છાવ માહોલ રહેશે. વરાપ અને રેડા મિક્સ રહેશે.
ગુજરાત રિજિયન (નોર્થ ગુજરાત, મધ્ય ગુજરાત અને દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત) :
અરબી સમુદ્ર ના ભેજ યુક્ત પવનો ગુજરાત પર થી પસાર થશે. તેના હિસાબે અમુક દિવસ છુટા છવાયા ઝાપટા, હળવો/મધ્યમ વરસાદ. ધૂપ છાવ માહોલ નું મિક્સ વાતાવરણ. દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત અને તેની નજીક ના વિસ્તાર માં હળવો/મધ્યમ/ભારે વરસાદ અમુક દિવસ અને કોઈ કોઈ દિવસ સીમિત વિસ્તાર માં વધુ ભારે વરસાદ.
સૌરાષ્ટ્ર કચ્છ કરતા ગુજરાત રીજીયન માં વધુ વરસાદ ની શક્યતા ખાસ દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત માં.
