The Depression over East Central Bay of Bengal moved north-northeastwards with a speed of 8 kmph during past 06 hours and lay centered at 2330 hrs IST of 24th May, 2024 over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal near latitude 16.6°N and longitude 89.3°E, about 610 km south of Khepupara (Bangladesh), about 580 km south-southeast of Sagar Islands (West Bengal)
and 640 km south of Canning (West Bengal). It is very likely to continue to move north-northeastwards and intensify into a Deep Depression by 25th May morning and into a Cyclonic Storm over eastcentral Bay of Bengal by 25th May evening. Subsequently, it would move nearly northwards, intensify into a Severe Cyclonic Storm by 26th May morning. Continuing to move nearly northwards, thereafter it is very likely to cross Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal coasts between Sagar Island and Khepupara by 26th May midnight as a Severe Cyclonic Storm with wind speed of 110-120 gusting to 135 kmph.

The Maximum Temperature over Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch yesterday were 2 to 4 C above normal with Heat wave conditions over few centers Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar.
Ahmedabad 45.5°C which is 4.0°C above normal
Gandhinagar 45.5°C which is 3°C above normal
Deesa 44.8°C which is 4°C above normal
Vadodara 44.0°C which is 4°C above normal
Surendranagar 44.0°C which is 1.5°C above normal
Amreli 43.8°C which is 3.0°C above normal
Rajkot 42.7°C which is 2°C above normal
Forecast For Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch 25th to 31st May 2024
The Maximum Temperature attained between 22nd-24th May 2024 was 44°C to 46.9°C. The Maximum Temperature is expected to decrease by 2°C to 3°C during the forecast period till 31st May.. Maximum Temperature range expected is 41°C to 44°C.
Winds will be mainly from West and Southwest direction blowing with very high speed of 20 to 30 kms/hour with gusts up to 40km/hour during many days of forecast period. Cloudy weather expected on many days Sunday onwards.

તારીખ 22 થી 24 મે દરમિયાન મહત્તમ તાપમાન રેન્જ 44°C to 46.9°C સુધી ની હતી. આગાહી સમય માં મહત્તમ તાપમાન 2°C થી 3°C ઘટવાની શક્યતા છે. જે રેન્જ 41°C to 44°C ગણાય.
પવન મુખ્યત્વે પશ્ચિમી તેમજ દક્ષિણ પશ્ચિમ બાજુ થી ફૂંકાશે. પવન વધુ સ્પીડ માં ફૂંકાશે 20 થી 30 કિમિ/કલાક અને ઝટકા ના પવનો 40 કિમિ/કલાક ના ફૂંકાવાની શક્યતા છે. રવિવાર થી વધુ દિવસો છુટા છવાયા વાદળ રહેશે.
