The low Pressure from the Bay of Bengal had tracked over Orissa and is currently located over Southeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Vidarbha area and vicinity. The Associated Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation is tilting Southwestwards with height and the Convective clouds are mainly towards the West.
There is a Mid-Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over the Northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Saurashtra Gujarat vicinity.
The axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level has shifted a little Southwards of its normal position.
The offshore currently runs from Gujarat coast to Kerala coast.
There has been much needed rainfall in many places of Saurashtra.

Forecast: 31st August to 6th September Saurashtra
Conditions will be good for some more rainfall over Saurashtra during this period. The rain will be on a daily basis but scattered over different parts of Saurshtra on various days. The current Low and Cyclonic Circulation will give rain today and tomorrow (31st August & 1st September). Rain quantum and area will vary on 2nd/3rd September. Subsequently rain quantum will again increase around 4th/5th/6th September due to one more Low Pressure System expected to develop over the Bay of Bengal in a few days.
There will be light to medium rain on all days during the forecast period in different parts of Saurashtra with some isolated heavy downpours.
