The Low Pressure over Southwest Rajasthan and Sindh has fizzled however, the associated Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation persist extending upto midtropospheric levels tilting southwestwards with height and is now over South Rajasthan and nearby North Gujarat. The well marked Low Pressure area now lies over Jharkhand and adjoining Orissa and Gangetic West Bengal with associated Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation extending upto midtropospheric levels tilting Southwestwards with height. The axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level passes through Phalodi, Kota, Guna, Satna, Daltonganj, centre of Well Marked Low Pressure area Digha and thence Southeastwards to Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. The off shore trough runs from Gujarat coast to Kerala coast.
There has been a good round of rainfall in Kutch & Gujarat and North Saurashtra between 9th to 11th August as had been forecast on 8th August.
