Rainfall over most parts of Saurashtra, Kutch and Gujarat has diminished. There is a Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over North Madhya Pradesh. It is embedded in the Axis of Monsoon which passes at mean sea level through Anupgarh, Jaipur,Sawai Madhopur, Satna, Ranchi, Kolkata and thence southeastwards to eastcentral Bay of Bengal. The other Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation lies over Gangetic West Bengal and neighbourhood.
The UAC over North Madhya Pradesh is expected to track along the Axis of monsoon towards Rajasthan. On 9th the UAC will be around East Rajasthan, 10th around Jodhpur area and on 11th & 12 around West Rajasthan Barmer area.
Forecast:
Normally rainfall intensity is more towards Southwest of the UAC. Hence heavy rain is expected in west M.P. today and tomorrow. East Rajstan, South Rajasthan will get heavy rain 9th onwards. North Gujarat will get heavy rain from 9th onwards; and adjoining North Saurashtra will get medium/heavy from 9th onwards and Kutch will get heavy rain from 10th onwards.
9th to 13th August:
Rainfall expected 10 to 20 Cms in South Rajasthan & Gujarat border regions of North Gujarat with isolated very heavy rainfall exceeding 20 Cms. over some of the places.
Rainfall expected 8 to 10 Cms in North Saurashtra.
Rainfall expected 3 to 5 Cms rest of Saurashtra.
Rainfall expected of 10 to 15 Cms in Kutch.
