Severe Heat Wave conditions continued to prevail over many pockets of Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat today also.

Update on 98A.INVEST:

The Low Pressure in the Arabian Sea has tracked Southwards in the last 24 hours with 25 knots winds and 1004 Mb. Pressure. Location 16.7N 71.8E. about 450 Kms. South of Saurashtra Coast and about 150 Kms. West of Konkan Coast. As per GFS forecast model it is expected to strengthen further and re-track initially towards Saurashtra.

Onset of Monsoon over Saurashtra will depend upon the outcome of this System. Hopefully the track will become clearer in 24 to 48 hours.

Southwest monsoon has further advanced over some more parts of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Bay of Bengal and some parts of northeastern states.
The northern limit of monsoon (NLM) passes through 0.0°N/60.0°E, 20.0°N/70.0°E, Dahanu,Nasik, Gulbarga, Rentachintala, Narsapur,17.0°N/84.0°E, 20.0°N/90.0°E, Aizawal, Imphal and 26.0°N/95.0°E.
Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon over some more parts of Arabian Sea, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and northeastern states, remaining parts of Karnataka and
Bay of Bengal during next 2-3 days.
