Observations:

The Maximum Temperature has risen sharply over last two days to above normal and is around 38.0 C and above against normal of 36/37C. The Minimum Temperature today has also become normal at 20/21C over Gujarat, Saurashtra & Kutch.

Forecast: Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch: 20th March to 27th March 2020

The winds will be from Westerly directions during 20th/23rd March with speeds around 15-25 km/hour and partly cloudy on some days. The winds will be variable from North West to North to North East direction during 24th/27th March with wind speeds 10 km to 20 km/hour. High cloud and Medium clouds will be present on most days of 24th/27th March with scattered low clouds some times during the period 24th/27th March.The morning Humidity will be high 20th/22nd March.

The Maximum Temperature will decrease to near normal for 20th & 21st March. Maximum Temperature expected to increase from 22nd to 24th March and will be above normal again (37C to 39C) and could cross 39C around 23rd March. The Maximum Temperature will continue to be normal or above normal for the remaining forecast period.

Western Disturbance is expected 20th/21st over North India and another Western Disturbance is expected around 24th-26th March. The Second Western Disturbance will affect up to Rajasthan, M.P., Maharashtra and also Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch. There is a possibility of Scattered un-seasonal showers on one day during 25th to 27th March over Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch.
