The Depression in the Bay of Bengal today intensified to a Deep Depression located at 19.0N and 85.5E, less than 50 Kms. Southeast of Orissa Coast. Dense Convective clouds associated with this System are mainly spread over Orissa and also up to Coastal West Bengal, adjoining Jharkhand, Chahatishgarh and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. The Central Pressure is 995 Mb. and winds of 55 to 65 Kms./hour gusting up to 75 Kms./Hour.
This System is expected to cross Orissa coast by this evening.
Under the influence of this system, widespread rainfall with heavy to very heavy falls at a few places would occur over Coastal Orissa and isolated heavy to very heavy falls over interior Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Coastal areas of West Bengal and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during next 36 hours. Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh will get scattered moderate rainfall from tomorrow till 18th/19th and South Gujarat to get scattered rain from 17th to 20th.
