The Low pressure in the Bay of Bengal has strengthened further to a Depression and is currently lying at 8N 84E about 250 Kms. East of Shri Lanka Coast and about 500 Kms. South East of Tamilnadu Coast. The Central Pressure of the System is 1004 Mb. with winds of 45 to 55 Kms./Hour.
Forecast:
The System is expected to strengthen further to a Deep Depression and is expected to track North Westwards during the next two days.
Heavy rains are forecast for Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu between 11th to 15th December. This rain amount will be at least three times the normal rainfall for this time of the year for this region.
