Cyclone "PHYAN" To Make Landfall On Maharashtra Coast Today

Current Weather Conditions on 11th November 2009 @ 11.00 am.

Deep Depression in the Arabian Sea had strengthened to Cyclonic Storm "PHYAN" last night and currently is located at 18N 72.5E about 50 Kms. from the Maharashtra Coast. The Central pressure is 982 Mb. and 90 to 100 Kms./Hour wind speed as per International models. The Sea is very rough with wave height of 5 Meters.

Forecast: This system is expected track mainly North North Easterly Direction and cross Maharashtra Coast by this evening.

Heavy rains are forecast for Maharashtra, Goa, and South Gujarat.

Saurashtra will get light rain to scattered showers next few days.
