Current Weather Conditions on 22nd November 2013 @ 1.30 pm.

Severe Cyclonic Storm ” HELEN” started weakening last night as it approached Coastal Andhra Pradesh and made Landfall at 0730 UTC ( 1.00 pm. IST) today the 22nd November 2013 at Lat. 16.2N & Long. 81.2 E. vicinity of Machilipatnam. The bulk of the convective clouds associated with this System are mainly to the Northeast of the System Center giving heavy rainfall over Coastal Andhra and South Orissa Coast.

Ashok bhai, What was the speed or velocity of wind at the time of landfall?

As per IMD 80 to 90 Kms./hour wind speed at Landfall and as per International models 53 knots or about 98 Kms./per ( latter is based on 1 minute winds speed average)

Now light scattered rain but on the decreasing trend for Abu Dabi, Dubai and other centers till 24th November
