The Maximum as well as Minimum Temperature over most parts of Suarashtra, Kutch & Gujarat have been near normal to 1 or 2 C. below or above normal during the last four five days. Bhuj the Minimum Temperature readings during the last few days are exceptionally high by about 6 to 8 C. above normal which could be probably due to faulty reporting/recording. There was morning fog over parts of Saurashtra during the last three days due to Northwestern winds in the early morning hours.
Forecast: 20th to 25th December 2013
Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat:
The Maximum as well as Minimum Temperature is expected to decline by about 4 to 5 C. during the forecast period. Hence for most places of Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat the Maximum as well as Minimum temperature will be about 2 to 4 C. below normal during the forecast period. The lower Temperature is expected between 23rd to 25th December 2013.
North India:
Western disturbance will affect North India between 21st to 25th December. Snowfall in the Hilly regions of Jammu & kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and other hilly regions of North India. Scattered rain expected for some parts of plains of North India. The Temperature is expected to decline during the forecast period.
