An Upper Cyclonic Circulation had developed yesterday over an area South of Indian Peninsula and West of Southern tip of Sri Lanka. This UAC has strengthened into a Low Pressure area after mid-night of 5th May 2014 located at @ 5.7°N 78.4°E. This System started being monitored by NRL as 91B.INVEST from 1900z on 05-05-2014. Currently the Low Pressure strength is 20 knots with 1007 Mb. Pressure located at 5.8°N 78.1°E Located about 250 Kms. South Southeast Of Kanyakumari, the Southern tip of India.

Forecast:
The Low Pressure System is expected to track mainly Northerly direction and then track along the Kerala Coast during the next two days. Rainfall is forecast for the Southern peninsula next three days.
