Relief From Hot Weather During 10th To 12th May Over Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat

Current Weather Conditions on 9th May 2014 @ 1.00 pm.

The Maximum Temperature over Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch had increased by 2 to 4 Degree C over most places on 7th & 8th May. Rajkot recorded 43.6 C on 7th May and was the highest Maximum Temperature of this season and 42.4 C on 8th May. Bhuj and Surendranagar recorded 44.0 C on 7th May while Idar recorded the same 44.0 C on 8th May.

The Low Pressure area that had emerged over the Arabian Sea off Karnataka Coast had tracked Northerly direction and tracked back over Karnataka last evening. This morning it was located at 16.1N & 77.3E vicinity of Raichur, Karnataka at 11.30 am. 9th May 2014. Heavy rainfall has been reported over Karnataka, Kerala and adjoining areas. Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch:

The Maximum Temperature will start to decline from today over most of the regions and the Maximum Temperature is expected to become near normal during 10th to 12th May. The Normal Maximum Temperature for Rajkot is 40 C while Ahmedabad is 41.0 C.

The Low Pressure will track Northeastwards during next 36 hours.
