Current Weather Conditions on 19th May 2014
On 18th May the Indian Meteorological Department declared that Southwest monsoon has set in over most parts of Andaman sea and some parts of southeast Bay of Bengal.
The northern limit of monsoon passes through 05°N/88°E, 09°N/91°E, Long Islands, 16°N/95°E.

Today the 19th May 2014 as per IMD Bulletin the Southwest monsoon has further advanced over remaining parts of Andaman sea and some more parts of Southeast Bay of Bengal and some parts of East Central Bay of Bengal.
The northern limit of monsoon(NLM) passes through 05.0°N/85.0°E, 10.0°N/88.0°E, 16.0°N/92.0°E and 19.0°N/94.0°E.
Conditions are favorable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of South and Central Bay of Bengal during next 48 hours.

Ya that’s true that monsoon has set in over andaman nicobar islands but rather than advancing towards kerala, those convective clouds are now going to become a cyclone I think & it may be going towards bangladesh & west bengal what you say? Whether it is monsoon clouds or cyclone?

Monsoon has advanced and will advance further. There is a Well Marked Low Pressure in BOB. If the System moves North it will organize the Monsoon winds. The Eastern end of NLM is always at higher latitude than the Western end of NLM ( Northern Limit Of Monsoon)
