A Low Pressure has developed over the North Bay of Bengal around 20.8N & 88.5E about 200 Kms. South of Kolkatta. It is expected to move in West North Westward direction. There is a moderately active monsoon from Goa, Coastal Maharashtra upto South Gujarat.

Very powerful Typhoon SEPAT has struck Taiwan today. Heavy rainfall and damage due to very high winds are expected for Taiwan. Typhoon SEPAT is expected to strike Mainland China today. SEPAT has sucked in much of the Monsoon clouds from the Indian Ocean near the Equator area.
