મધ્ય પૂર્વ અરબી સમુદ્ર માં જે દીપ ડીપ્રેસન હતું તે મજબૂત બની વાવાઝોડા માં પરિવર્તિત થયું છે. તે વાવાઝોડા નું નામ “ASHOBAA” છે.
તારીખ 9 સુધી માં આ સીસ્ટમ સૌરાષ્ટ્ર ની પશ્ચિમે 400 થી 500 કિમી દૂર થી પસાર થશે તેવું ફોરકાસ્ટ ટ્રેક માં જણાય છે.
હાલ સીસ્ટમ સૌરાષ્ટ્ર ના દરિયા કિનારા થી 450 કિમી દૂર છે.
સૌરાષ્ટ , ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ ને બે ત્રણ દિવસ છૂટો છવાયો વરસાદ નો લાભ મળશે. ત્યાર બાદ પણ આ સીસ્ટમ ના પૂછડિયા વાદળા તારીખ 14 સુધી સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ ને થોડો ઘણો ફાયદો કરશે. આ બોનસ વરસાદ છે કારણ કે ચોમાસું હજુ સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ માં બેઠું નથી.
સુચના: માટે “અમારા વિસ્તાર માં ક્યારે અને કેટલો વરસાદ પડશે?” તેવા સવાલો પૂછવા નહિ અને તે પ્રશીધ્ધ નહિ થાય.

Sub: Deep Depression intensified into a Cyclonic Storm (ASHOBAA) over eastcentral Arabian Sea. (Pre-cyclone watch for Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat coasts)
The deep depression over eastcentral Arabian Sea has moved north-northwestwards during past 6 hours and intensified further into a cyclonic storm (ASHOBAA), and lay centred at 0830 hours IST of 08 th June 2015 near latitude 17.9 0 N and longitude 67.2 0 E, about 590 km westsouthwest of Mumbai, 470 km southwest of Veraval and 960 km east-southeast of Masirah Island (Oman). It would move initially north-northwestwards and intensify further into a severe cyclonic storm during next 36 hours.
Under the influence of this system, rainfall would occur at most places with isolated heavy falls over coastal Karnataka, Konkan & Goa and south Gujarat during the next 24 hours.
