Current Meteorological features based on IMD Bulletin :

The Well Marked Low Pressure area over NW Bay of Bengal near North Coastal Odisha has Concentrated into a Depression over land and was 30 km Southwest of Bhubaneshwar at noon. It is likely to track West Northwestwards during next 24 hours.

A trough runs from the Cyclonic Circulation Associated with the above Depression to Southeast Rajasthan across South Chhattisgarh and South Madhya Pradesh at 3.1 km above mean sea level.

The Axis of Monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Anupgarh, Hissar, Aligarh, Banda, Ambikapur, Rourkela, center of the Depression over Coastal Odisha and thence towards Eastcentral Bay of Bengal.

There is a feeble Off-shore trough at mean sea level now runs from South Maharashtra coast to Kerala coast.

A fresh Low pressure is likely to develop over North Bay of Bengal and neighborhood around 18th August.

Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch: 16th August to 20th August 2018

Due to the effects of the Depression System over Odisha and a trough at 700 hPa from Southeast Rajasthan to the Depression center and later the Western end of this broad circulation is expected be over Saurashtra, Gujarat and Kutch and also later due to a UAC at 500 hPa, widespread rainfall is expected over whole Gujarat (Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat). The rainfall will start from the Eastern side of Gujarat over border areas of Gujarat/Maharasthra & Gujarat/Madhya Pradesh and later the rainfall area will move Westwards.

South Gujarat & Central Gujarat expected to receive 75 mm to 100 mm rainfall during the forecast period with few places receiving more than 100-150 mm.

North Gujarat expected to to receive 35 mm to 75 mm rainfall during the forecast period with few places receiving more than 75 mm.

Saurashtra expected to to receive 50 mm to 75 mm rainfall during the forecast period with few places receiving more than 75-100 mm.

Kutch expected to to receive 35 mm to 75 mm rainfall during the forecast period with few places receiving more than 75 mm.

હાલ ની પરિસ્થિતિ અને નિચોડ: 15 ઓગસ્ટ 2018

બંગાળ ની ખાડી ની સિસ્ટમ મજબૂત બની ડિપ્રેસન થયું જે ઓડિશા પર છે અને પશ્ચિમ ઉત્તર પશ્ચિમ તરફ ગતિ કરે છે. સિસ્ટમ છતીશગઢ /વિદર્ભ/એમપી પર જશે.

દક્ષિણ પૂર્વ રાજસ્થાન થી આ સિસ્ટમ સુધી 700 hPa માં (3.1 કિમિ ની ઉંચાઈએ) એક ટ્રફ છે જે એક બહોળા સર્ક્યુલેશન તરીખે આવતા દિવસો માં રહેશે. આગાહી સમય માં આ સર્ક્યુલેશન નો પશ્ચિમ છેડો સૌરાષ્ટ્ર ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ પર આવશે.

ચોમાસુ ધરી સી લેવલ પર અનૂપગઢ, હિસાર, અંબિકાપુર, રૂરકેલા, ડિપ્રેસન ના સેન્ટર અને ત્યાંથી મધ્ય પૂર્વ બંગાળ ની ખાડી સુધી લંબાય છે.

એક સામાન્ય મોન્સૂન ટ્રફ દક્ષિણ મહારાષ્ટ્ર થી કેરળ સુધી છે.

થોડા દિવસો માં બંગાળ ની ખાડી માં નવું લો પ્રેસર થવાની શક્યતા છે.

સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ: તારીખ 16 ઓગસ્ટ થી 20 ઓગસ્ટ 2018

ડિપ્રેસન સિસ્ટમ તેમજ 700 hPa નું બહોળું સર્ક્યુલેશન, તેમજ 500 hPa નું યુએસી ને હિસાબે સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ માં સાર્વત્રિક વરસાદ ની શક્યતા છે. વરસાદ પહેલા ગુજરાત માં પૂર્વ બાજુ મહારાષ્ટ્ર/ગુજરાત બોર્ડર અને એમપી ગુજરાત બોર્ડર વિસ્તાર માંથી ચાલુ થશે અને ત્યાર બાદ પશ્ચિમ બાજુ વરસાદ આગળ વધશે.

દક્ષીણ ગુજરાત અને સેન્ટ્રલ ગુજરાત : આગાહી સમય ના અમૂક દિવસો વિસ્તારો પ્રમાણે વરસાદ ની શક્યતા છે જેની કુલ વરસાદ ની માત્રા 50 મીલીમીટર થી 100 મીલીમીટર ની શંભાવના. ક્યાંક ક્યાંક કુલ વરસાદ 100-150 મીલીમીટર થી પણ વધુ ની શંભાવના છે.

નોર્થ ગુજરાત : આગાહી સમય ના અમૂક દિવસો વિસ્તારો પ્રમાણે વરસાદ ની શક્યતા છે જેની કુલ વરસાદ ની માત્રા 35 મીલીમીટર થી 75 મીલીમીટર ની શંભાવના. ક્યાંક ક્યાંક કુલ વરસાદ 75 મીલીમીટર થી પણ વધુ ની શંભાવના છે.
