Current Weather Conditions on 25th October 2012 @ 8.00 am.
Cyclonic Storm “MURJAN” Over the Arabian Sea has tracked mainly Westwards and was located at 10.5N. & 53.9E. at 0000 UTC ( 5.30 am.) having wind speeds of 35 knots and 1000 Mb. Pressure. System is tracking mainly Westwards and distance to Landfall over Somalia is 275 to 300 Kms.
Cyclonic Storm “MURJAN” Track and Clouding
Apart from Cyclonic Storm “MURJAN” there are two more areas of weather events that would affect the weather of Indian Peninsula and adjoining areas.
First is the trough of Low over Southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka coast which is expected to move Westwards and cross over to Arabian Sea. This would give rainfall to the Western Peninsula.
Second weather event is the System 93W.INVEST which is being monitored by JTWC from 22nd October. On 24th October this system has crossed over from the Gulf of Thailand across Thailand and Myanmar over to the Andaman sea in the Bay of Bengal.

The Low Pressure area above is West of Andaman and Nicobar and is expected to track initially Westwards.
The Rainfall over the Eastern Peninsula will be less for next two days and further will depend upon the track of 93W.INVEST.
