Southwest Monsoon has set in over parts of Southern India and conditions are favorable for further advance of Monsoon soon. Heat Wave conditions were present in some parts of Rajasthan with Maximum Temperature reaching 45.6 C. at Bikaner, 45.3 C. at Churu and 45.2 C. at Ganganagar. Scattered isolated pockets of Saurashtra received showers/rain yesterday.
There are two UACs one in Arabian Sea and another in Bay of Bengal. Currently they are being monitored by NRL as 96A.INVEST in Arabian Sea located at Lat. 19.0 N & Long. 65.6 E. and 97B.INVEST in the Bay of Bengal located at Lat. 14.2 N. & Long. 93.4 E. The clouding of Arabian Sea UAC is to the West of the center and more towards Oman.

Forecast: 4th to 8th June North India
A new round of Heat Wave is expected in several parts of North Indian States of Punjab, Haryana, New Delhi, U.P. , North Rajsthan & Madhya Pradesh. The Maximum Temperature would reach between 46 to 48 C. in many pockets of the above States with isolated places reaching 49 C. Maximum Temperature will start to increase from 4th with Temperature being on high side on 5th to 7th. Highest Temperature is expected on 6th June.
Pre-monsoon activity will continue over Saurashtra as had been forecast on 1st June 2013.
