Cyclonic Storm "LAILA" after initial landfall on the Andhra Pradesh coast near border of Prakash & Guntur Districts of Andhra Pradesh between CHIRALA & BAPATLA has tracked less than 100 Kms. after landfall and is currently in the vicinity of Machilipatanam. System should be closely tracked and monitored for a possibility of its reemergence into the Bay of Bengal. Heavy rainfall of 25 to 35 Cms has occured at many places of the coastal areas of Guntur and Prakasham Districts of Andhra Pradesh.

WARNING:
Strong winds are expected to continue for Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Heavy to Very Heavy rainfall for Andhra Pradesh to continue. Every care should be taken to protect life and property in these areas.
