Most parts of North Gujarat, South Gujarat, and Central Gujarat received good rainfall from 3rd July night to 5th July. Saurashtra & Kutch received just scattered rainfall during this period and Rajkot was left out from this round of rainfall recording less than 4 mm.
The Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over South Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat is currently over South Pakistan, Kutch, Western Saurashtra and adjoining Arabian Sea.
The axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level passes through Ganganagar, Narnaul, Fursatgunj, Ballia Bhagalpur, Malda and thence Eastwards to Nagaland. Another branch passes through Fursatgunj, Daltongunj, Keonjhargarh, Puri and thence South Southeastwards to Southeast Bay of Bengal. The Western end of monsoon trough would shift northwards during next 24 hours.
A Cyclonic Circulation at 700 Mb. to 500 Mb. level had developed and is over West Central Bay of Bengal off South Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh coasts, tilting Southwestwards with height.
The offshore trough from Gujarat coast to Kerala coast persists.
