Current Weather Conditions on 28th September 2009 @ 3.30 pm.
A Low Pressure has developed over the Bay of Bengal yesterday. Currently it is located at 18.9N 85.2E with 1002 mb. pressure lying very close to the Orissa Coast. The convective clouds associated with the system are stretched out in a very large area over the Bay of Bengal as well as over West Bengal, Orissa and Chhatisgarh.
Forecast: The system is expected to move in Westward direction cross East Coast and move towards Maharashtra and cross over into Arabian Sea on 1st or 2nd October.
Forecast for Saurashtra:
The Low pressure system will affect Saurashtra only from 2nd October when light rain in coastal area can be expected. The movement of this system after entering the Arabian Sea will determine the rainfall for Saurashtra during 2nd to 7th October.

As per IMD: Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from entire Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, many parts of Rajasthan and some parts of Uttarakhand, west Uttar Pradesh and north Gujarat. The withdrawal line passes through Uttarkashi, Aligarh, Sawai Madhopur, Udaipur and Naliya.
