Weather conditions as per today's earlier post. Estimated rainfall forecast is derived from various forecast models. However, these models do not have agreement with one another and there is a vast difference from one forecast model to another forecast model. The estimated rainfall forecast could change with developing conditions and would be re-posted as warranted.

Estimated Rainfall Forecast for Saurashtra & Gujarat:

8th to 14th August 2008:

Saurashtra:
50 % areas expected to receive 5 Cms. to 8 Cms.
50 % areas expected to receive 8 Cms. to 15 Cms.
Some Isolated pockets could receive 15 Cms upwards

South Gujarat:
Most areas expected to receive 12 Cms. to 20 Cms.
Some Isolated pockets could receive 20 Cms. upwards

Central Gujarat:
Most areas expected to receive 8 Cms. to 12 Cms.
Some Isolated pockets could receive 12 Cms. upwards

North Gujarat:
Most areas expected to receive 6 Cms. to 8 Cms.
Some Isolated pockets could receive 8 Cms. upwards
