Monsoon is active along the Coastal States of Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, and West Bengal. The Cyclonic circulation over West Bengal, Bihar and neighbouring areas is now over Jharkhand and neighbouring area.
The Cyclonic Circulation in the Arabian Sea near Coastal Saurashtra and South Gujarat has weakened. The Barometric pressure at Rajkot was 998 to 1001 mb. and it is expected to rise to level of 1004 to 1007 mb. by 9th September indicating clearer weather ahead.
Monsoon System over Kerala & Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Maharashtra, and South Gujarat has become less active.
Weather Forecast Rajkot & Saurashtra
It is expected that rains over Saurashtra will decrease from tomorrow. Hence, most parts of Saurashtra will get clearer weather from 7th or 8th September with chances of isolated scattered light rains.
Forecast dated 4th September is valid for rain.
4th September to 7th September: 20 % of Saurshtra will receive 5 Cms. to 10 Cms of rain while 80 % of Saurashtra will receive 2 Cms. to 5 Cms. of rain during the forecast period. Heavier rains for Coastal Saurashtra.

6th September to 12th September: Exremely Heavy rains of 15 Cms. to 20 Cms. is expected over North Eastern States, Orissa, West Bengal, Jharkhand, & Bihar. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, U.P. and Parts of Madhya Pradesh will get 7 to 12 Cms. of rain.
