There has been above normal Temperatures over most parts of Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat during the last three to four days. The Maximum as well as Minimum Temperature has been about 4 to 5 Degrees C. above normal at most of the places. Cloudy conditions have prevailed over parts of Saurashtra, Gujarat and Kutch from yesterday. Winds are on the higher side. Forecast: 14th February to 17th February Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat
The weather is expected to be cloudy today just like yesterday. The winds will blow from the West tomorrow and early morning of 16th. Morning Humidity will increase and light fog expected in limited parts of Saurashtra. The Maximum Temperature will be above normal today and from tomorrow the Temperature trend will be downwards. Maximum as well as Minimum Temperature is expected to fall by 4 to 5 Degrees C. by 16th/17th. There is a possibility of scattered shower or light rain over parts of Rajasthan Gujarat border area and M.P. Gujarat border area till 15th.
Forecast for Rest of India: 14th to 20 February
Due to Western Disturbance over North India, light to medium snowfall is expected over the hilly regions of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal pradesh, Uttrakhand and light to medium rain over the plains of all these States as well as over Punjab, Haryana, New Delhi, North Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh & Uttar Pradesh starting on 14th but mainly on 15th & 16th February. The rainfall from M.P. & U.P. will shift towards Jharkhand Bihar Chhatishgarh, Vidarbh.
Another area that would get rain would be the Southern peninsula where light to medioum rainfall is expected over Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh where the rainfall will linger in some parts till 20th February.
Also some rainfall activity is expected over Northeastern States.
Majority of Indian States would be affected by rain on 15th/16th February as can be seen from COLA precipitation forecast maps till 16th February 00z and 17th February 00z.
