Thursday's Low Pressure over the Bay of Bengal had strengthened to a Well Marked Low Pressure yesterday. Subsequently it had strengthened further to a Depression this morning when the system was located at 20.4 N 87.8 E about 125 Kms. from the North Orissa West Bengal Coast. The central pressure was 996 mb. with wind speeds of 50 to 65 Kms./Hour.

The System has tracked Northwards and currently it is located just on the West Bengal Coast location 21.8 N 88.2 E.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is forecast for West Bengal, Orissa and subsequently over Chhatishgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar.

Saurashtra: This system is not expected to reach Saurashtra. However, Saurashtra will get scattered showers or rain in isolated pockets for next two days due to local conditions.
