The Low Pressure from the Bay of Bengal had tracked inland over Orissa on 5th and adjoining Chhatishgarh yesterday. It was near East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha last night and surprisingly tracked very fast forward and currently has reached over Madhya Maharashtra and West Madhya Prasdesh and adjoining areas. There is also Low Pressure and an An Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over South Pakistan.
There is an off shore trough from South Gujarat coast to Karnata coast.
The axis of monsoon trough passes through Jodhpur, Centre of Low Pressure area, Durg, and thence Southeastwards to Eastcentral Bay of Bengal.
Dense convective clouds are present over Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat including parts of Saurashtra.
Forecast:
Under the cumulative effects of the above, Medium to Heavy rainfall is expected over Gujarat till Monday the 9th August.
Saurashtra is expected to receive 4 Cms. to 8 Cms. of rainfall during the forecast period viz. 9th August. Isolated places as well as Coastal areas can get 10 Cms. to 12 Cms. of rainfall.
