Fresh Western Disturbance is located over North Pakistan. A trough in the mid and upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 Kms. above sea level runs roughly along 62E. North of 30N.
There is a Cyclonic Circulation over the Arabian Sea West of Maharashtra Coast and Southwest of Saurashtra Coast.
The wind discontinuity at 0.9 Kms. above sea level now runs from Lakshadweep area to south Gujarat across Kerala, interior Karnataka and Madhya Maharashtra.

Parts of Maharashtra will get unseasonal rain on most days of forecast period, some times with hail storm. Unseasonal rain to continue over parts of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh on few days of forecast period. The precipitation area is expected to shift Northeastwards from 10th March towards M.P.
Some parts of Gujarat & Saurashtra could get showers on one or two days between 8th to 10th March as is being indicated by Forecast Models.

Due to Western Disturbance heavy Snowfall is expected over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal pradesh during 9th to 11th March. Punjab, haryana, North Rajasthan and Delhi will get rain during the forecast period. The prepitation area from Central India will merge with the Western Disturbance and so significant precipitation will occur on 11th over North India as well as North M.P. and adjoining U.P.
