Current Weather Conditions on 9th March 2013 @11.00 am.

Hot day conditions prevailed over many parts of Saurashtra and South Gujarat during the last two three days. Some individual places like Rajkot, Junagadh, Surendranagar experienced Heat Wave conditions on last one or two days. where the Maximum Temperature was above 40.0 C. and the Temperature was above normal by 5 to 6 C.

Forecast: 9th March to 14th March 2013 For Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat

The winds have now changed to from West and Northwest and so th Temperature is expected to trend downwards from today and incrementally decrease during the forecast period. By 14th the Maximum Temperature is expected to decrease by 4 to 5 C. The winds will blow from West and Northwest at different times of the day during the forecast period. The wind speeds will be on higher side with winds of 15 Kms./hour to 20 Kms./hour with gusts of 25 to 30 Kms./hour. Partly cloudy conditions are expected on 11th and 12th March for most parts of Saurashtra. The morning humidity will initially increase to 40 to 60 % and in the latter parts of the forecast period the morning Humidity is expected to rise to 70 to 80 %.

Vidarbha and adjoining North Andhra Pradesh & Chhhatishgarh will experience rise in Maximum Temperature during the forecast period.
