The Southwest Monsoon has progressed very fast and covered most of Saurashtra, South Gujart & Central Gujarat. There is an Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over the Northeastern Arabian Sea at 1.5 Km.s to 3.1 Kms. level. This UAC is expect to linger in the NE Arabian Sea for three to four days with shifting its center every day. There would be heavy precipitation over the Arabian Sea west of Saurashtra. Another UAC would approach from the BOB side through Orissa, Chhatishgarh & M.P. which would also benefit Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch during 14th & 15th June.
The Monsoon is expected to be vigorous for the next two weeks as can be seen from the Indian Monsoon Index.

The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of north Arabian Sea, Saurashtra & Kutch and Gujarat region; remaining parts of Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Odisha; most parts of Chattisgarh and Gangetic West Bengal and some parts of south Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand.
The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat. 23° N / Long. 60° E, Lat. 23° N / Long. 65° E, Okha, Ahmedabad, Pachmarhi, Pendra, Ambikapur, Ranchi, Berhampore, Jalpaiguri and Gangtok.
Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest Monsoon into remaining parts of north Arabian Sea, Gujarat State, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal & Sikkim; some more parts of Madhya Pradesh and some parts of Bihar during next 48 hours.
