Bay Of Bengal System Has Gained Strength – Arabian Low Yet Being Organised

Current Weather Conditions on 28th October 2012 @ 8.00 am.

The Low Pressure System that has tracked Westwards from the Gulf of Thailand and crossed over to the Bay of Bengal on 24th October and being monitored by JTWC as 93W.INVEST and puts the System at 25 knots and 10004 Mb. Pressure. Current Location as per JTWC is 9.7N and 84.9E. about 400 Kms. East of North Srilanka Coast and about 500 to 550 Kms. East of the Tamilnadu Coast.

This Low Pressure System is due for one or two notches upgrade by IMD today to either a Well marked Low Pressure or even a Depression.

93W.INVEST – Bay of Bengal System

Another Low Pressure that has developed over to the Arabian Sea is now being monitored by JTWC as 96A.INVEST and puts the System at 15 knots 1010 Mb. Pressure location 6.1N 72E. about 600 Kms. West Southwest of Kerala Coast. Most models show the Pressure of this system around 1008 Mb. IMD is yet to declare it as a Low Pressure which they indicated yesterday that it would form on 30th October.

96A.INVEST – Arabian Sea System

Bay of Bengal System & Arabian Sea System

Forecast: The Bay of Bengal System will gain strength during the next two days while tracking westwards towards the Srilanka Coast and subsequently towards the Southern Tamilnadu Coast between 30th and 31st October. The Bay of Bengal System is expected to remain stronger than the Arabian Sea System till Landfall of the Bay of Bengal System.

96A.INVEST (Arabian Sea Low) is expected start strengthening from tomorrow onwards.
